What’s an Emulator? This is a piece of software, which lets a computer system act like another. 20 hours ago What it also means for Mac users is that in order to deal with the current lack of compatible and optimized apps for the M1 chipset, macOS Big Sur will also be capable of running iPhone and iPad apps, where users will be able to download these apps from the App Store.

Are the Pages and Numbers apps that I originally bought on iTunes for iPad for $9.99 each transferrable to or able to run on 2011 MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5? The mac app store wants $19.99 each to download. I thought the new operating system was supposed to run the iPhone and iPad apps. My Mac shows the apps in iCloud drive but only opens them in preview. Any way to run these without paying twice for the same app, also curious what apps other people are using in place of these. I use them mostly for basic lists or to open word/excel docs. Thanks.

Install Ipad Apps On Mac
Apple began transitioning to 64-bit hardware and software technology for Mac over a decade ago, and all modern Macs now include powerful 64-bit processors that can run advanced 64-bit apps. These apps can access dramatically more memory, enable faster system performance, and take advantage of technologies that define today's Mac experience.
Apple has been working with developers to transition their apps, and in 2018 Apple informed them that macOS Mojave would be the last version of macOS to run 32-bit apps. Starting with macOS Catalina, 32-bit apps are no longer compatible with macOS.
