Running Iphone Apps On My Mac

Greetings!

Looking Forward to Running iOS Apps on Your Apple Silicon Mac? Some Developers Aren’t on Board - + One of the great things about Apple’s transition to its own ARM-based Apple Silicon is that it promises to open up a whole world of iPhone and iPad apps to work on Apple’s new Macs, starting with the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. The Apps and Menu tabs are interesting. You can launch, quit, and minimize any of your Mac apps, enter full-screen mode, bring an app to the front, make an app a Remote Control for Mac favorite, force quit an app, and launch or quit apps according to a schedule. 1 day ago  The shift to a new iPhone-like CPU architecture, in conjuction to the new Mac OS 11 Big Sur, brings the ability for MacBooks to run iOS apps made for phones and iPads natively, yes you can now use your favorite iPhone app on your MacBook!

I have noticed that, since upgrading to iOS 10.0.0 (and 10.0.2) on an iPhone 6, certain apps - specifically Tumblr, Pandora, and Apple Music - will run in the background even though I have not given these apps permission to do so. An app symbol and message of, 'based on your current location' appears at the bottom of the screen when double tapping the home button to see/close apps that are running. More frustrating is that there does not appear to be any setting I can adjust to stop them from running. 😠 I've explored the Location Services menu and the 'phantom/rogue' apps do not appear in the list of permissions. I'm pretty sure these apps are using battery power, though I can't confirm this.
