Installing and configuring Citrix Workspace App for Design Manager
Workspace App (client-side component) Citrix Workspace App client software, for lack of a better term, will be the replacement for Citrix Receiver and other client software starting next quarter. The Citrix Workspace app, i.e., the client endpoint software, only enables the connection, much like it does for virtualized applications and desktops. Citrix Workspace app lets you access your SaaS, web apps, mobile, virtual apps, files, and desktops to help you be as productive on the go as you are in the office. If your company uses Citrix, you have the freedom to work on your favourite device from wherever you are. Just ask your IT department h. I think i have a problem with the Citrix Workspace app for Mac. Initially it worked fine on my mac, and Citrix viewer would present my virtual desktop but after a few months when i tried it again it failed.

It is recommended to install the latest Citrix Workspace once your system has updated to MacOS Mojave 10.14 or higher.
For best results, if you are using Sierra or High Sierra, Receiver 12.9.1 is the preferred Citrix version.
This article will guide you through the process of installing and configuring Citrix for Design Manager on MacOS Catalina and Mojave, and create a desktop icon.
Please have your Design Manager username and password handy. This can typically be found in the Welcome to Design Manager email.
First, browse tohttps://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html and download the appropriate version for MacOS. This link will always browse to the latest Citrix Release.
Start the download and then double-click on the CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg to start the installation process.
Double-click the Install Citrix Workspace icon.
Click Install.
Click Next through the installer, check the Add Account box and Continue.
Server Address: login.designmanager.com
Enter the username and password created in the account management portal (https://my.designmanager.com) or the password your administrator has created for you.
Citrix Workspace App is now configured with the server information and your username and password.
You can open the Citrix app and use the DM Pro Cloud icon to launch Design Manager.

*If you have a DM Standard Cloud, the application name will be your Company Name.
After clicking the icon, you will see the program start to launch
Next the DM Splash logo will load.
You are now logged in to Design Manager!
To create a Desktop Icon:
Choose Go from the Mac toolbar then Applications, or use Shift+Command+A
Search This Mac for DM Pro Cloud (*or your company name, if a Standard Cloud user)

Note: There is a known issue with MacOS Catalina and Citrix Workspace App (formerly Citrix Receiver). When a MacOS user tries to launch an application in UFApps using the full workspace app (full receiver), they are prompted with a window stating that “You have not chosen to trust “AddTrust External CA Root”, the issue of the server’s security certificate”. Contact your help desk for assistance”. To resolve the issue, the user must download Citrix Workspace App version 1910.2 or newer.
To access UFApps from a Mac, you will need to install the Citrix Workspace App. Please follow the step below:
- Open a web browser and go to http://receiver.citrix.com
- Once there, click the button labeled “Download for Mac”.
- Click on “Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac”
- Download and open the Citrix Workspace App.
- Select the “Install Citrix Workspace” option.
- Click on continue to start the installation and follow instruction. for the installation to complete.
